I won!!!

Good news everyone...I am now Senator Krystal Jasso!!! I was sooo happy. Portia made it too.

I am also on the programming committee and I am going to put in a request to be the recorder for the committee since the position is open. In the committee we plan school events like Homecoming, Nitelifes and different events throughout the semester. Its pretty fun.

I am looking forward to this semester as a senator and if all goes well I plan to run for spring semester also.

We have sprinters do upper body one day and throwers do lower and then the next day we switch. Its really fun plus I am getting stronger. I will be toned by December...

My first week of college

was very exciting. College is so different. It was wierd walking on campus and seeing students smoking, riding skateboards, playing frisbee and doing yoga in the quad. I was like, "Hey you cant smoke at school!" Of course I didn't actually say it...I thought it. There are alot of weird people though...and I mean weird. I thought it was funny on the first day of school a guy was handing out free Bibles. I LOVE college though. I like making my own schedule and that I don't have to go class to class like in high school. Although on Tuesdays I have a 3 hour break between my english and my anthro class, but I just have lunch and then go to the library to study or do my homework. I can actually find things to do between classes and I am starting to make friends in my classes so we walk with each other.

I like my schedule alot. Tuesdays are the worst but its better than going all 5 days.

Track is so fun. I am sore though from wieght room but I am already stronger now than I ever have been. I think I will improve alot this track season and I am pretty excited to start this coming season. I have practice Monday to Thursday from 8 to like 9am. It is really fun and at first everyone in the class was all quiet but by thursday we are all used to each other and we are all talking now. I hang out with Lariesse, Alicia and Michelo (short for Michelangelo). We are always together mostly because we are the freshman but also because we all have things in common. Practice is alot of fun. Better than Katella for sure.

My last weekend...

So I start school on Monday and I am so nervous. I am kind of scared of the professors...only if they are mean though. I got almost all my books. I only need to get my Writers Resource book for English and I am done. Tommorrow I get my student ID and I hope that my picture doesn't come out all messed up or anything.

So this is my last week of not studying or doing school work. Then Monday I will be studying, reading and writing. Things I don't really like to do...but I have to so I will do them.

I also got the A.S. Benefits sticker which means I get discounts at tons of places. I get special prices for sports events and the bookstore. That is pretty cool.

I want to see Superbad. It looks funny...like stupid funny. If I am allowed to go out this weekend I want to see it.

Summers coming to an end...

Wow...my summer is almost over. I start school on Monday. I am looking forward to it. I seriously can't believe I am already in college. Elizabeth is going to Cypress...why? I don't know. She won't go to Fullerton because her brothers went there and she says alot of people from Katella go there. Which from my perspective alot of Katella students go to either Santa Ana College or Orange Coast. So why Cypress...which is so far away and she doesn't drive...I don't know.

Siobhan starts school in 2 weeks. She says she is not excited about going to kindergarten, but I don't think so. She is going to look cute in her uniform. I can't wait.

Mexico our second day

Our second day was THE best. We went to Ensenada and had lunch at El Meson de Don Fernando (really good food) and then we went down to check on our property. I forgot how crazy the ride is up there. It seriously feels like you are going to fall off the edge of the cliff. It is fun though.

On our way back we stopped at the sand dunes that are next to the hotel and we all went on the quads. It was so fun. I was scared at first but I got the hang of it and I ended up being really good and I was going fast too. I got stuck up the hill because my quad ran out of gas. They had to bring me a new one. It was kind of embarrassing. I told my dad that one of the guys was cute. He was. He had nice eyes too. I really want to buy one so we can do it more. Or we can just do it when we go to Mexico again.

After we went back to Puerto Nuevo and had lobster, rice, beans, salsa, tortillas, guacamole and tortilla soup. It was soo soo good. I loved it. Then Bradley and I went shopping for a little bit of shopping. I bought some candy for Elizabeth and some toffee peanuts too. They were so good. Bargain too. All of that for 7 dollars.

1st day (august 9)

Mexico was so fun. The day after my birthday was mucho fun. I had my first real pina colada and margarita (they were really good), did some swimming with Siobhan and Diego, and had TACOS and TORTAS! Ahhh they were so good...it was so nice to finally get the,. I have been craving them for forever. They were so delicious. I had this really big chile with them and my dad was all complaining that they were hot, but they weren't. I mean I ate a whole one with my torta and my mouth was only a little hot. They weren't. Basically all we did was eat and swim. It was fun though.

My B day

Today I am 18...I am practically a grandma now...haha I was all dead this morning when I woke up. I swear my bones were creaking today. =)

Tomorrow we leave for Mexico and I am pretty excited because we haven't been in over a year and I am looking forward to seeing any changes they have made to the roads, hotels and more. I am soooo happy that I can finally get my tacos from the little taco stand next to the hotel and my lobster...yuuuummmm...so good. I can actually have a pina colada with alcohol because I am legally allowed to drink down there. Pretty cool. I want to go shopping too. There is a braclet that I wanted to get and hopefully they still sell it. It is a wood braclet with the different saints on it. I was going to get it last time, but I didnt have any more money. I also need to get a cross bracelet I am going to get Elizabeth a gift too. I dont know what yet but I will know what to get when I see it.

Siobhan lost another tooth this morning when she was eating breakfast. She was all happy and now she has 2 spaces on her bottom row. She looks cute, but her other tooth is already growing in.

Ahhh...

I turn 18 tommorrow...Scary. At least now I can finally go to a club in LA. How exciting.

We are going to Mexico on Thursday and dad says I could maybe take Elizabeth and we could get our room if we each pay $25. Of course she probably wont be able to go...but u might as well take a chance.

Im hungry...real hungry. I want tacos from mexico.

Tomorrow I have a group advising meeting at 3 at Fullerton. I think its about 2 hours long and its supposed to give me alot of the information I need before I start school which I really need because seriously...I have no idea what I am supposed to do other than go to my classes. I dont even know what to bring the first day...paper, pencils and pens I know for sure but then I dont know what else.

So Thursday we are supposed to go to Mexico and I am SUPER excitied because we haven't been in a couple months. I NEED my TACOS and TORTAS from the stands on the side of the roads...yummmmm...so good. I am drooling just thinking about them.

I can't believe I already start school in 2 weeks. Wow crazy stuff. Bradleys all hahaha that I start earlier than him, but who gets longer breaks than him??? MEEE!

7th Year Anniversary

Today is my parents 7th year wedding anniversary. 7 years...thats a long time...

This weekend I did so many chores. So many I cant even count them...just kidding. I did do alot of chores though.

So Siobhan is obsessed with High School Musical now. She got a Gabriella barbie from her friend at school and then now shes like "I want ALL of the High School Musical barbies..." She hasn't even seen the movie and she knows all the songs from school. Shes crazy...shes turning into my friend Kim who is also OBSESSED with that freaking movie. Crazy stuff.

Last week was Siobhans last week of school. All her teachers were sad to see her go. She brought a cake and everything for her classmates. She also made cards for her friends. Everyone loves her there at her school.

YEAH my birthday is in 3 days!!! How exciting. Elizabeth is all excited and going crazy on all these plans. LOCA is what she is.

7 Days Left...

So my summer vacation has been interesting. I have met some new people from Fullerton and I am getting used to this "college life" ha ha. I love that I make up my own schedule and everything. I have the best school week EVER!!! I lovvvveee it! I start school in 19 days! Ahhh how scary...yet exciting. I can't wait until I have to buy my books and stuff. Now THAT is exciting. I have english, math and anthro (not to count my anthro lab, math lab and 3 PE classes (yes 3!!) thats some crazy stuff. I have no classes on Friday and everyday exept Tuesday I end before 2pm. Now thats cooler than cool.

My birthday is in 7 days. I am so excited. I love my birthday, but I dont want to be 18. I still want to be a minor. =)

So for the rest of the summer I want to 1. go to the Toots and the Maytals concert in LA 2. Go to Olvera Street w/ Elizabeth
3. Go to a club in LA (hehe) 4. Go shopping on Hollywood and Vine (best shopping ever!!)

Crab Fest

Today we had a "crab fest" and t was really good. Last night I made shrimp cocktail and it was delicious!!

Well this week is pretty exciting. On Tuesday Elizabeth and I might go to the OC Fair, Wednesday I take my permit test and Thursday Im going to Fullerton to register for classes. YES!! I am so excited to start school.

Then in 2 weeks I leave for Mexico. My helpful cousin, Victoria is so funny. She sent me a checklist. Ha ha shes so funny.

YESS!!!

Wow so I am almost an official college student. My registration appointment is next Thursday at 6pm. I'm pretty excited. I also start training with one of the sprinters, Simone, starting next week at 10:30am. I'm looking forward to meeting a sprinter that I will most likely be in a relay team with.

Hopefully we are still able to go the OC Fair on Tuesday. Special price day! ha ha those are the only days I will go. otherwise food+rides= expensive.

Well right now I am watching the Premios Juventud, but I am not liking who is performing so I am going to turn it off. Plus I'm kind of tired. Why?? I dont know, but I am. I think I might be getting sick. My head feels hot. Maybe I'm just having halluinations.

Im so so sore!

Today I stayed home. My first time in a couple days. I have been going to practice and I am currently very sore! ahh it hurts so much! I hate being sore with all my heart. I put icy hot on yesterday when just my leg was sore...and i wake up this morning and my freaking back and neck are sore now!! Crazy!! The soreness has traveled throughout my body.

Tomorrow mom has another softball game and we are all going. I love going. Its funny to watch her and all her friends play or try to play softball. I shoud of been on their team, but whatever apparently they dont want to win. ha ha

I am SOOOOO excited about starting college next month!! AHHHH i cant believe I am already in college though. Scary.

I am also excited about going to Mexico with my cousin Victoria and my Uncle Alfred. Its going to be so much fun. The whole family is going to be down there and I am so ready to go shopping!

Bus Strike

Man OCTA is on strike and now I dont know how I am going to get to Fullerton and back now because the 57 is down. Gosh how inconvienient. There are only 12 buses still running. I hope the strike doesnt last for that long because it must suck for the people who take the bus to work everyday.

So I got an email from Coach Bevec telling me that practices are at 8:30AM!! Ahh imagine running at that hour in the morning? I've only done that for invitationals and I usually didnt run at that time. This is cross country too so me running 2+ miles in the morning? Oh no not for me. I am so against long distance. 2 miles is like death row for me. I know some people might say Im lazy.

TODAY

Today we met dads friend from Flickr, Barry. He was cool. He brought his daughter, Tori and son, Evan. His daughter designs clothes and some of them that I have seen on Flickr are nice. She looks nice, but she was pretty quiet and I couldnt really talk to her because I was on the other side of the table.

So today I found out my little waiter crush from Chili Peppers name is not Carlos...its Eric. Wierd

Beach Day

Today we went to Huntington Beach. It was alot of fun and Siobhan and I went far into the water. At first she was scared but then she got used to the water going into her face. Diego didnt really go in the water he spent most of his time in the sand making sand castles. It was really nice weather today so I am glad that we went today. There were some Jr. lifeguards training today and siobhan said she wanted one of thier red bathing suits (even though I just bought her a new one)

Siobhan wants to go to the movies soon to see that new movie Ratatolllie, but it doesnt come out until tomorrow. Maybe we will go on Saturday. I am not sure yet.

So practice at Fullerton JC starts this week. I go on Monday and Tuesday. I ony have to do like a mile and the other people have to do like 3 miles. :) happy about that haha. Thursday I go to take my placement test.
